    Comoros secured a vital 2-0 victory over the Central African Republic on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier match held at Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Morocco. This win boosted Comoros’ hopes of making their first-ever World Cup appearance.

    Captain Youssouf M’Changama and Myziane Maolida, both French-born players of Comoran descent, scored in the 20th and 39th minutes, respectively, giving Comoros their fifth victory in eight qualifiers.
